[Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University] ANSU Cut Off Mark for 2022/2023 Academic Session

150 is the current UTME Cut off Mark for ANSU. The Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University is inviting candidates who made ANSU their first choice in the 2022 UTME for admission into their various choice of departments.

Following the scrapping of post-UTME by the Federal government, the Joints Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had given a benchmark of 140 and above for candidates applying for Universities. Hitherto, the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University has followed suit in the 140 general cuts of the mark of JAMB.

Candidates with higher scores are first considered in admission basics, candidates with lower scores though might meet the cut-off mark of 150 may likely not be admitted. It is the higher your scores, the higher the chance of being admitted.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE CUT-OFF MARK?

We noticed that students don’t understand the meaning of cut-off marks. Every year, students often ask this question, so today we will briefly explain what the cut-off mark is.

The cut-off mark is the mark set by the authority or board that conducts an exam, which is considered the passing or clearing level of the exam. Based on the cut-off, candidates are shortlisted for the further stages of the selection process.

So ANSU Cut Off Mark is the specific mark set by the University authority which is considered as the passing level for any candidate to be qualified for any course.

ANSU cut-off mark for the 2023/2024 academic session is 150, and as an aspirant of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, you must score 150 and above to be admitted to study your dream course.

ANSU JAMB Cut-Off Mark 2022

ANSU’s Departmental cut-off mark is 150. Any changes to this cut-off mark will be updated on The Anambra State University website. It has been stated that only candidates who put ANSU as their first choice are eligible to apply.

Below are the cut-off marks for each department:

ANSU Cut-Off Mark

  • 140 and above for Faculties of Education and Agriculture.
  • 200 and above for  Law, Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • 150 and above for other programmes.

COOU 2023/2024 ADMISSION SCREENING NATURE

The Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University holds its admission screening exercises within a week or a couple of weeks, and it usually comes in two phases. Students who applied to study in the school are to proceed with the pre-screening exercise when once it is announced.

Documents required for the pre-screening exercise are SSCE results and JAMB registration printout only.

It is often important that a candidate arrive early and locate his/her screening venue early. Candidates will be screened on the JAMB scores and their SSCE results.

The second phase of the screening is after the admission lists might have been released. Candidates who have merited the admission will be invited for another screening exercise. Here are all documents such as;

  • Original copies of their educational qualifications (Statements of Results/Certificates).
    N/B: Cases of awaiting results will NOT be accepted.
  • Birth Certification/Age Declaration.
  • A letter of good conduct from your Village Head or a responsible member of your
    community/or civil servant not below Grade Level 10 or equivalent in the private sector.
  • Certificate of Local Government of origin; and this notification of admission status
    slip
